this is a photo of what used to be the twin rinks skatepark. i grew up here. i started skateboarding here when i was 12 years old and went there almost every single day for around 8 years.

last week the city started tearing out the skate park to build a library.

my first time being drunk, first kiss, first time smoking weed, first time being arrested, first fight, first time i saw boobs, and probably many more firsts went down at this park.
it has a massive spot in all the hearts of the kids that grew up there. it was made in 1994 and since then the kids that grew up there and skated have been known and called themselves the twin rinks mafia. the park is gone but TRM lives on.
